The New Mexico Law Enforcement Torch Run will host its first ever Bike Rally for Special Olympics New Mexico on Aug. 11 in Albuquerque. More than 500 “wild hogs” throughout New Mexico will ride from the Thunderbird Harley Davidson located at 5000 Alameda Blvd. NE at 11 a.m., arriving at the Sky City Casino in Acoma, New Mexico at 12:30 p.m.
Registration will take place at the Thunderbird Harley Davidson from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. The cost to participate in the Bike Rally is $20. All proceeds will go to benefit SONM athlete competitions, programs and sports equipment. A portion of the dollars raised will also go to support the six SONM athletes competing in 2007 World Summer Games in Shanghai, China.
