Harley-Davidson Third Quarter Earnings Call

The motorcycle manufacturer reported revenue decrease of 6% to $1.54 billion, almost in line with analysts’ expectations of $1.52 billion. Results were disappointing but not unexpected. The company knew in September that sales were slowing and expects a challenging environment next year. Harley repurchased 9.7 million shares of stock, at a cost of $509 million. For 2007, Harley expects to ship between 328,000 and 332,000 motorcycles, down from 349,196 in 2006.

It is not good news. Harley Davidson's 3rd quarter earnings decrease because of the dull domestic market. I meet many friends on a site called bikerkiss. We usually talk about Harley together. Most of us still think Harley will get out of its plight.
