TWO motorcyclists on a birthday road trip through far north Queensland died yesterday in a collision with a horse float that involved up to six other motorcycles.
About an hour later a third motorcyclist died when he lost control of his motorcycle in a Cairns suburb.
The crashes took the Queensland road toll to 272, which was 44 more than at the same time last year.
In the first accident a man and woman in their 30s riding on the same motorcycle were in a convoy of up to seven motorcycles returning from a party at the Lions Den Hotel, near Cooktown.

I am very sorry to hear that. I think carelessness is the main reason for such accidents. So we must enhance our consciousness about safety when we riding motorcycles. I know a site named bikerkiss from which u can get many safety knowledge.
